Early Bird Discounted Tickets Available
Ramona, Calif., August 31, 2018
The 6th annual Ramona Art and Wine Festival will be held at Begent Ranch, 18528 Highland Valley Road, Ramona, Calif., on Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Early-bird discounted tickets are available now until October 1st at www.ramonaartandwinefest.net
The scenic Begent Ranch, a venue provided by Molly Jaeger-Begent and David Begent, hosts the Festival. While listening to live music, attendees can browse and purchase fine art created by approximately 30 local artists in acrylic, oil, sculptures, glass, mixed media, jewelry, oil, and watercolor media. Wine tasting will be offered from award-winning wineries in the up and coming Ramona wine region. A food pavilion will offer multiple small plates, starters, lunch entrées, and desserts in a joint presentation by local chefs. Highlighting the event is a live auction of six wine barrels uniquely designed and painted by local artists for display at home or business—always a key attraction at the festival.
New this year is a Commemorative Ramona Art and Wine Poster signed and numbered by a selected artist, which attendees can purchase at the Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project booth. The original artwork for the poster will be auctioned at the Festival.
Display of Hand-Painted Wine Barrels
Leading up to the Festival will be a “Parade of Barrels” when local Business Hosts will exhibit them for public viewing in Ramona and Poway. Businesses sponsoring and hosting barrels this year are Walter Andersen Nursery (Poway), artist Haley Poole; Boll Weevil Restaurant, artist Lynette Bredow; Ramona Julian Academy of Dance, artist Marsha Cook; and San Vicente Resort, artist Linda Kelly.
Chiara Creations Art and A Vintage Industry are co-sponsoring a barrel to be displayed at Ramona Family Naturals, and Chris Anderson REALTOR® is sponsoring a barrel to be displayed at Reds Whites and Brews.
Artists’ Reception October 26
The Ramona Art Guild will sponsor an “Artists Wine and Cheese Reception” open to the public at no charge on Friday, October 26, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at 2Create Gallery, 438 Main Street, Ramona, CA 92065. The public will meet the artists showing their work at the Festival and also preview the six hand-painted barrels and original commemorative poster to be auctioned at the Festival.
