Amateur wines were integrated and judged head-to-head in panels with commercial wines. Once the scores were received, the top 5 scored wines were re-presented to the judges as identified amateur category wines and competed against each other for best in show. All the amateur’s scores were then adjusted on a curve to create the gold, silver, and bronze winners.
