502 Lilac Ranch Road, Alpine, CA 91901

Vineyard in Alpine, CA with eight varietals of estate grapes.  We are a family owned home winery, noncommercial, with estate grapes and a facility for making fine wine.  The wine that we produce is meant to be shared with our friends and family and always to be enjoyed.  Our unique terroir at elevation 1850 above sea level with mainly westerly ocean breezes in late afternoons and early evenings creates an environment that allows our grapes to develop fully and give our wines the wonderful variety of tastes on the palate.  Cheers.

Commercial Winegrape Sales Only

Hawk’s Point Vineyards can be found in the heart of San Diego County’s Backcountry

Our First-Year Harvest (2024) was a success with nearly 9,000lbs of premium winegrapes sold to local wineries and happy winemakers

Our traditional and full-bodied red grapes include: Primitivo, Montepulciano and our Sicilian variety, Nero d’Avola. Our hearty Vermentino provides an additional white grape variety to this mix

Purchase Agreements/Contracts for our winegrapes will be made available to interested buyers in early February 2025

Keeping it simple and clean

We seek to ensure the health of our vines through a natural and minimalist approach.   Our row cover helps retain moisture, serves as our erosion control, and provides a rich biodiversity to the soils. In addition, we have adopted a regenerative pruning method with the hope of producing vigorous vines and high-quality grapes

In the Spring we enjoy a superbloom of wildflowers and cherish the annual return of our local bees, birds, and barn owls.

Our Land
We purchased a mature 10 year old Vineyard in 2017 and built our new home on the property in 2018. Local Ramona wineries have purchased our Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for years. In 2021, we decided to go down the road of making our own wine and are making good progress with the talents of local winemakers. In 2022 we completed our winery barn agricultural building and we’re now remodeling the barn into our winery and tasting patio. We hope to open in the fall of 2025 or spring 2026. We expanded our vineyard in the spring of 2023 adding three additional varietals, Montepulciano, Grenache and Tempranillo. We now have two Italian, two French and two Spanish varietals that are estate grown and will work with other nearby vineyards to supply additional varietals as needed.
